There are a number of sites to visit here such as Ballymallis Castle, The Puck Fair Monument, Blennerhasset Monument and The Metal Bridge. Climbing Carrauntoohil is a challenging day out with a good choice of routes to the Summit total distance is 10k with 900m ascent. There are several routes we can choose to the summit –
Via Brother O Shea’s Gully,
Via The Devils Ladder,
Via Heavenly Gates,
Via Hags Tooth Ridge to Beenkeragh and onwards along Beenkeragh Ridge
Via Curved Gully
If you want something more challenging I would suggest Howling Ridge, but not for the faint hearted, experience in scrambling is essential!
